After the code is located, enter the PIN code into the device and it will work properly. If the PIN Code can not be located on the Rental Document, please call your rental location to receive your PIN Code
Why can't I find my address in the where2 GPS unit?
If you are having trouble searching for an address in your where2 device there are a few steps you can take to find addresses.
1. The first step in searching for an address on the where2 device is to enter the name of the street you are searching for without entering any directional indicators or other information. Instead of typing "South Main Street", simply type "Main".
2. Another tip that will make address searches more effective is to search multiple cities instead of just one specific city. It is possible that the mapping data has addresses located in different cities or towns than the address listing you are using.
How do I pair my Bluetooth phone with the where2 GPS unit?
Instructions for pairing your Bluetooth phone with the Garmin device can be found on the Garmin Bluetooth website at www.garmin.com/bluetooth.
How do I troubleshoot the Real-Time Traffic service?
First, the where2 device must have satellite acquisition in order to begin receiving traffic information. Please make sure that the signal meter in the top left hand corner of the Main Menu screen is GREEN in color. If not, please move the device where it can get a clear view of the sky.
Next, to see if the where2 GPS device is receiving traffic information, please look at the cigarette lighter power adapter. There are two lights that you should see on the power adapter. The light nearest to the end of the plug will be lit GREEN if the unit is receiving external power. The second light will be lit GREEN if the Garmin device is receiving traffic information and it will be lit AMBER if the unit is not receiving any traffic signals. If the light is lit AMBER, there is a chance that you may not be located in a city that is broadcasting a Real-Time Traffic signal. To see a list of the cities that currently broadcast traffic information, please visit the Real-Time Traffic website at www.realtimetraffic.net and click on "Coverage Map".
